Make sure that you are always aware of your pensions re-enrolment staging date.

The Working with Schools payroll team will keep an eye on this for you but it is always best to be aware of them for your internal communications.

The general rule is that re-enrolment should be completed every 3 years. That said, you can do this slightly earlier or later than the 3 year anniversary of your last re-enrolment date if it suits you better to do so.

You can find your pensions re-enrolment date here but in order to display it you will need to enter your employer PAYE reference number and your Pensions Regulator ‘letter code’ . If you do not know your letter code please click here in order to obtain it. You will need your employer HMRC accounts office reference and PAYE reference numbers handy.

Remember, re-enrolment (and the subsequent re-declaration of compliance) are legal employer duties. If you don’t complete these tasks you will be fined!
